Welcome to my home page. Let me introduce myself right away. I am an economist. I work in the Transport Division of the UN Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland. I was born in 1957 in Novi Sad, Serbia. I completed my education in economics by shuttling between the Universities of Novi Sad, Belgrade, Amsterdam and Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario). Throughout the 1980s I worked on and off in the oil business, notably the Middle East. During this time, I also studied thanks to grants from the Dutch and Canadian governments. I have always kept alive my academic interest in international economic integration which I started reading in Amsterdam in 1980.

After passing a UN competitive exam, I joined the Centre on Transnational Corporations in New York in 1989. I worked there for three years with John H. Dunning (General Editor) on the UN Library on Transnational Corporations, on a set of readings covering all economic aspects of TNCs and foreign direct investment. The set, which consisted of 20 volumes and was published by Routledge of London in 1993 and 1994, was the biggest project ever-published by the Centre. In 1992, I moved to the UN Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva where my job included trade and investment promotion and facilitation, statistics, as well as assistance in relations with the European Union. I now deal with transport related issues.
